For the past four decades, Live Art Dance has been Atlantic Canada’s premier presenter of contemporary dance. Our mandate is to deliver an annual contemporary dance series featuring diverse works from Canadian and international dance artists. Our vision is to be nationally recognized as the leading provider of, and advocate for, contemporary dance in Atlantic Canada. Locally, we strive to be a catalyst for a vibrant and healthy dance ecology in Nova Scotia, and we are grateful to our board members for helping us make it happen!

Treasurer

Live Art Dance is seeking someone with an interest in the arts and financial skills to join the board and act as treasurer for the organization.

This new Treasurer should be an individual with a background in financial management, accounting, bookkeeping, general finance or in non-profit treasury. The ideal candidate would also have a passion for:

  • Dance
  • Arts Advocacy
  • Teamwork
  • Diversity
  • Active engagement in our events and with the community

For Board positions, we seek people who can give the time, energy and expertise to create a real impact for Live Art Dance and the arts in our province. We meet regularly for Board and Committee work, scheduled around members’ availability.

  • Organizational skills – to help with events – a wine tasting this summer and Twisted Black Tie in 2024
  • Fund-raising experience
  • Interest in governance issues
