Live Art Dance is grateful to be working in Kjipuktuk, on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people. We are grateful to be on this land, and have deep respect for those who have been its caretakers for millenia. We are committed to working to understand and live by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which govern this land – treaties that recognized Mi’kmaq title and established rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

We also acknowledge the cultural, historic, and artistic contributions of the African Nova Scotian communities who have been here for over 400 years, and whose labour and presence has been critical to the infrastructure of the city in which we work.
