The Youth Project was founded in 1993 and since then has served countless youth both in Halifax and across the province. The Youth Project’s mission is to make Nova Scotia a safer, healthier and happier place for 2SLGBTQ+ youth through support, education, resource expansion and community development. The Youth Project provides hundreds of hours of workshops within schools every year and staff and volunteers facilitate two summer camps and over a dozen events during pride season. Other notable events include our annual Queer Prom attended by over 500 youth in 2019 and our Youth Drag Show, which provides a platform for young artists to showcase and explore their talents!
