Dear Live Art Dance Patrons,

As we all anticipated, Live Art Dance is cancelling the last two shows of the season – Red Sky Performance, March 21st and Le Patin Libre, April 16, 17.

The current pandemic has catapulted the whole world into mostly untrod territory, and things are changing faster than most imagined possible even a week ago. As with all other major performing arts series in the country, we are cancelling these shows following the direction of government and public health officials and out of concern for the health and safety of our audience, our staff, the artists and our community as a whole.

We are proud of the varied and powerful season of contemporary dance we had assembled and are sorry we are unable to present it all to you – it’s like an incomplete meal. Efforts will be made to rebook the cancelled shows but, as next year’s season is already in place, slotting them in will be a challenge – logistically and financially.

Regarding your outstanding investment in the final two shows:

Donate your Tickets

Like all not for profit arts organisations we are encouraging patrons to accept a charitable receipt for the value of your ticket or unused portion of your season subscription. We are taking a serious box office hit with these cancellations and your support for us in this way would certainly be appreciated.

As an alternative, we can offer you a voucher for use next season either as credit for your season subscription or for use for single ticket purchases. If you desire a full refund, that can also be arranged.

Please note that due to a high volume of inquiries, it may take a few weeks to process your requests. We want to reassure you that we will respond to all inquiries. Our physical offices will be closed for the foreseeable future in order to ensure the safety of our staff, but we will continue to operate virtually.

To claim your tax receipt, voucher or refund, please email [email protected]. You may also call 902-420-0003 and leave a message.

We wish you health and wellness in these coming weeks and look forward to the time when our community will be able to come together again to enjoy the excitement of live contemporary dance.
