Aly Keita
Aly Keita began his artistic journey at the age of 13 in Guinea, studying circus arts, dance and music at the Centre d’art acrobatique Keita Fodeba.

Aly Keita began his artistic journey at the age of 13 in Guinea, studying circus arts, dance and music at the Centre d’art acrobatique Keita Fodeba. He arrived in Canada in 2016, as part of a cultural exchange between young Inuit and Guinean acrobats, organized for the production of the documentary film “Circus without borders”. Since then, he has collaborated with various companies as an acrobat, dancer and singer-songwriter. These include Productions Kalabanté, Cavalia, Zab Maboungou/Compagnie Danse Nyata Nyata, Opéra de Lévis, Collectif White Wash, MAPP_Montréal, Jobel Art for Earth, RD Créations, Audrey Gaussiran, Fondation de la Place des Arts and many others. He also participated in the 4-part documentary “Afro Canada”, broadcast by Radio-Canada, which explores 400 years of Afro-descendant history. In 2020, he created his own work Djata: Conversations du Manden, which is touring Quebec, Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and the United States. In 2023, he received support from CALQ and CAC for his new creation Altération and also founded the company Kira Arts. Aly has extensive experience in teaching and cultural mediation with both young and adult audiences. For him, interaction with audiences of all ages is a source of artistic and human enrichment.
